Rep. Harriet Hageman, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wyoming’s at-large district, shared her thoughts on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Her statements covered topics including a new executive order by President Trump and legislative efforts concerning the Department of Education.
On February 5, 2025, Rep. Hageman expressed her support for an executive order signed by President Trump. She stated, "I was proud to join so many strong women at the signing of President Trump's EO banning men from women and girls' sports. This action upholds Title IX’s intent, protects female athletes, and restores integrity to competition."
The following day, February 6, 2025, she attended the signing event and noted her interactions with several individuals present. She remarked, "I was honored to attend the signing of President Trump's EO to protect women and girls in sports and visit with my good friend Polly Friess! It was also great to see @Riley_Gaines_ and @RepBurgessOwens. It is a great day for women!"
Later that same day, Rep. Hageman aligned herself with Representative Thomas Massie's initiative regarding educational reform. She declared her support for his bill HR 899 aimed at dismantling the Department of Education: "I agree with @RepThomasMassie that it is past time to abolish the Department of Education. I joined his bill, HR 899, to do just that."
