2022 North Texas Giving Day Kickoff Celebration Was a Sold Out Hit

Texas

The Communities Foundation of Texas kicked off the region’s 2022 North Texas Giving Day activities with a training event held at Texas Live! Tuesday morning.  Almost four hundred people attended to hear firsthand the ins and outs of this year's fundraising extravaganza planned for September 22, 2022.

The sold-out event was designed to help the region’s charitable organizations prepare for this year’s events and to ensure they are ready to fully leverage NTX Giving Day, the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.

During the event, Communities Foundation of Texas also awarded random prizes to participating nonprofits and showcased the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, a top-tier sponsor of NTX Giving Day, who met with the Arlington nonprofits to help them learn about how to participate in the Foundation’s grant-giving.

"All of us at the Foundation are delighted to partner with the Communities Foundation of Texas for the ninth year as a sponsor of North Texas Giving Day," said Carolyn Mentesana, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation’s executive director. "In 2022, we help mark 15 years of contributing to a Thriving Arlington, in part, by almost doubling our bonus grant pool to $115,000 to Arlington-based charities registered for the ’22 event."

On 9.22.22 the Foundation’s transformational gifts will be awarded throughout the day and will host their yearly Arlington Gives! official Giving Day concert at the Levitt Pavilion featuring The Brad Thompson Band. Save the date! NTX Giving Day mobilizes nonprofits and givers that do great work and create a lasting impact in our community.

The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation will be awarding 21 bonus grants totaling $115,000 to Arlington-based nonprofits that participate in NTX Giving Day this year:

  • Fourteen Time Block Grants of $5,000 totaling $70,000
  • Two People’s Choice Awards of $10,000 totaling $20,000
  • Five random drawings for $5,000 totaling $25,000
