Cyclones In The Outfield to Cover School Supplies & Tuition for Edgerton Elementary Students

The Cyclones In The Outfield fundraiser raised enough money again this year to cover school supplies and tuition for every student at Edgerton Elementary School.

Like last year, school supplies will be available on students desks on the first day of class. Headphones and earbuds are included. Because children love to choose their own backpacks, parents should still purchase a backpack for their child. A limited number of backpacks will be available for students whose families cannot afford one.

The process for tuition payments for the 2022-2023 school year is slightly different this year. Instead of gift cards, families should let the school know if they would like their tuition covered by Cyclones In The Outfield. The money will be sent directly to the school, hopefully easing the burden on parents and guardians during the busy back-to-school season. Please contact the school with any questions about tuition.

About Cyclones In The Outfield

Cyclones In The Outfield started in 2021 as the brainchild of Deputy Brad Johnson, Edgerton’s community policing officer. The event raises money during a charity softball game between the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Johnson County Fire District #1. In 2022, Cyclones expanded to include a cruise-in car show in downtown Edgerton followed by an outdoor movie in Martin Creek Park.

All of the money raised goes to support the students and staff at Edgerton Elementary school. We thank our generous sponsors including Edgerton Frontier Days, Price Chopper, Lewis Indoor Athletics, Hostess, ElevateEdgerton!, Central Bank of the Midwest, PepsiCo, Dot’s Pretzels, and Logistics Park Kansas City.
