Casper Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
The Children’s Advocacy Project would like to invite the community to help us bring awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month through the planting of a Pinwheel Garden. This year we are encouraging homes and businesses to join us in planting a pinwheel garden of their own for the month of April. Pinwheels may be purchased through the Children’s Advocacy Project. Call 307-232-0159 or email ashley@childrensadvocacyproject.org. Order deadline is March 28, 2022 and the purchase of pinwheels covers the costs of the pinwheels themselves and is of no profit to CAP. As well, the Children’s Advocacy Project will be planting our pinwheel garden of our own and we invite you to join us at our office (350 N. Ash) on Wednesday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. A pinwheel will be planted for each child victim of abuse and maltreatment we served in 2021 – 354 children, 354 pinwheels. We hope these pinwheels will serve as a visual reminder of the child abuse that continues to occur in our own community. See a pinwheel?
