City Council April 5, 6 and 7, 2022

City of Rawlins recently issued the following announcement.

The agenda and council packet for Rawlins’ City Council Work Sessions and Regular Meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 6:00 and 7:30 pm are available on BoardDocs at http://rawlinswy.org/boarddocs. The Council will also be holding work sessions at 6:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The public is encouraged to attend, send in comments beforehand, and/or watch the meeting remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are aired live on Channel 191 (Spectrum), on Facebook live (barring tech problems), and posted to YouTube afterward. Council meetings are held in Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street. 

Council items include:  

  • 6:00 Work Sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for City Budget Presentations 
  • Public Hearing and Action to Repeal and Correct Amendment to FY20-21 Budget due to Clerical Errors  
  • Presentation of April 2022 Community Builder Award 
  • Proclamations for Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and National Volunteer Week 
  • Appointments to the Parks & Recreation, Golf Course, Rawlins DDA/Main Street and Urban Systems Boards 
  • Reports: Fire Civil Service Rules, DDA/Main Street, City Manager, Attorney and Council  
  • Discussion of Interagency Deputy Emergency Manager 
  • Discussion of SilverSky Email Protection Service 
  • Approve Bids for Community Development Pick-up and Rec Center Weight Room Equipment
  • Approval of Revisions to Concessionaire Agreement 
  • First Reading of an Ordinance revision to Tobacco Sales to Minors, 9.28.0202
  • Executive Session per WY Statute 16-4-405(ix)
  • Approve Minutes, Payroll and Accounts Payable

We currently allow written comments to be provided beforehand, which will then be read into the record, which started as a response to COVID-19. If you cannot attend the City Council meeting and would like to comment, they must be emailed to crelations@rawlins-wyoming.com AND lshearer@rawlins-wyoming.com by Monday before the meeting at 4:00 pm. Please keep in mind these are formal communications to the governing body and will be read into the record.

Comments made on Facebook or other social media before or during the meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor Facebook comments on the live stream of the meeting, except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are often held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
