On September 10, Barrasso expressed sympathy for conservative commentator Charlie Kirk with the message: “Prayers for @charliekirk11”.

The following day, Barrasso commemorated the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. He wrote: “Today, we remember and mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the September 11th terrorist attacks. Our nation will forever remember the heroes who chose to put the lives of others above their own. #NeverForget” on September 11.

Later that same day, Barrasso returned to the subject of Charlie Kirk’s passing, stating: “We must live as Charlie lived, with courage and with conviction. May God bless his family. May he rest in peace.”

John Barrasso is a U.S. Senator representing Wyoming.
