Sen. John Barrasso, U.S. Senator from Wyoming, posted a series of updates on his Twitter account in November 2025 highlighting recent legislative developments and local Veterans Day events.
On November 10, 2025, Barrasso announced that “Senate Dems voted with @senategop to reopen the government. We are now one step closer. 42 million Americans will receive food assistance. Troops, air traffic controllers, and Capitol Police will get their paychecks. And the government will be open to serve the American people.” The bipartisan vote signaled progress toward ending a government shutdown and restoring essential services for millions of Americans.
The following day, November 11, Barrasso attended a local event and shared: “This morning, Centennial Middle School hosted its 23rd annual Veterans Day Celebration. There was a packed house to honor the men and women in our community who have worn the uniform of the U.S. armed forces. Today, and everyday, we share our appreciation for your service to our”. The post reflected ongoing efforts within Wyoming communities to recognize veterans’ contributions.
On November 12, Barrasso reported on another commemoration: “The Lander Valley High School and community celebrated Wyoming Veterans at their annual assembly today. It was an honor to specifically recognize Lander veteran U.S. Army Specialist Loriann “Lori” J. Crump and take part in the dedication of the school’s new alumni veterans wall.”
Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11 across the United States as a time to honor military veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Local schools often hold assemblies or ceremonies recognizing both current service members and veterans from their communities.
Barrasso’s posts reflect both national legislative action regarding government funding as well as local engagement with military families during Veterans Day commemorations.
