Senator Cynthia Lummis, representing Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, recently highlighted several initiatives and commemorations through her social media posts.

On August 23, 2025, Senator Lummis participated in a ceremony honoring veterans at Lakeview Cemetery. She wrote, “Honored to join Eagle Scout Billy of Troop 43 and Lizabeth to recognize fallen veterans at Lakeview Cemetery. His project, No Vet Left Unfound, ensures unmarked veteran graves receive the honor they deserve. Placing markers for my father & grandfather was incredibly special.”

The following day, on August 24, 2025, Senator Lummis promoted legislative efforts aimed at modernizing mortgage lending. She stated, “My 21st Century Mortgage Act brings mortgage lending into the Digital Age and makes homeownership more accessible for young Americans.” The bill seeks to address barriers faced by younger generations in accessing home loans by leveraging digital technologies.

On August 25, 2025, Senator Lummis marked the anniversary of a major federal agency dedicated to public lands. She posted, “Today, we celebrate 109 years of @NatlParkService! Since President Woodrow Wilson signed the National Park Service Act, NPS has grown to over 400 national parks throughout America. Grateful for their work preserving God’s wonderful creations and the stories they tell.” The National Park Service was established in 1916 under President Woodrow Wilson’s administration and now manages hundreds of sites across the United States.

Senator Lummis has served as Wyoming’s senior senator since January 2021 and is known for her advocacy on rural issues and public land management.
