Senator Cynthia Lummis, who represents Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, has recently highlighted several community and cultural initiatives through her social media posts.
On August 9, 2025, Senator Lummis announced the opening of applications for volunteers and performers at the White House Christmas events. She wrote, “The application is now live for @WhiteHouse Christmas volunteers and performers! If you are interested, click below to apply by September 5.”
A day later, on August 10, 2025, she congratulated a local resident for national recognition. In her post, Lummis stated, “Congratulations to Sheryl Cohen from Cheyenne on being awarded the National Flute Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This is a remarkable achievement; thank you for making the Cowboy State proud.” The National Flute Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award is considered one of the highest honors in American flute performance and education.
On August 11, 2025, Senator Lummis reflected on her involvement with a statewide youth leadership initiative. She posted, “Had a great time supporting the Wyoming Congressional Award program last week with folks from across the state. Thank you to everyone who continues to step up & champion Wyoming’s young leaders as they dedicate their time and talents to serving and strengthening our communities.” The Congressional Award program encourages personal development and community service among young people in Wyoming and across the United States.
Senator Lummis has been active in promoting both local achievements and opportunities for civic engagement within her state.
