Senator Cynthia Lummis has used her social media platform to urge the passage of the Clarity Act, emphasizing its significance for the future of digital assets in the United States.
On April 9, 2026, Lummis posted, “This is the most pro-digital asset administration in United States history. It’s the right time to pass the Clarity Act. If not now, then when?” The following day, she reiterated her stance by stating, “This is our last chance to pass the Clarity Act until at least 2030. We can’t afford to surrender America’s financial future.” On April 11, she continued her advocacy with another post: “It’s time Congress passes the Clarity Act. It’s now or never.”
Lummis has a background rooted in Wyoming’s agricultural community; she grew up on a cattle ranch in Laramie County and operated family ranches with her siblings according to her official website. She earned degrees in animal science, biology and law from the University of Wyoming. Over several decades, Lummis dedicated herself to public service in roles including state treasurer and as a member of both chambers of Wyoming’s legislature before serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and later as senator.
Throughout her career, Lummis has championed responsible federal budgeting and stewardship of public lands while advocating for Wyoming’s energy and mineral resources (source). As a senator, she continues these efforts through committee work and legislative initiatives.
