Senator Cynthia Lummis, who represents Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and policy positions related to energy, veterans’ affairs, and federal land management.
On September 9, 2025, Lummis announced her support for new legislation aimed at reducing regulatory burdens and supporting Wyoming’s economy. She wrote: “I’m proud to join my western colleagues in introducing this legislation to prevent unfair compliance costs, protect Wyoming jobs while keeping gas prices down for people throughout the Cowboy State, and uphold President Trump’s commitment to unleashing American energy.”
The following day, on September 10, 2025, Lummis posted about a meeting with a local veteran advocate. She stated: “Wonderful to see Denton Knapp from Wyoming’s Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Cowboy State is home to tens of thousands of veterans, and I continue to work with my colleagues and the Trump administration to make quality care accessible for those who served our country.”
Later that same day, Senator Lummis addressed federal land management policies by criticizing the Biden administration’s approach. She wrote: “The Biden Public Lands Rule threatened to shut down thousands of acres of working land, hurting Wyoming families who’ve depended on these lands for generations. Getting rid of this harmful rule restores sensible federal land management for energy, ranching, timber, & recreation.”
Senator Lummis has been an advocate for reducing regulatory impacts on Wyoming industries and maintaining access to public lands for multiple uses such as ranching and energy production. Her positions align with longstanding state concerns over federal land use policies and economic development priorities.
