Sen. John Barrasso, U.S. Senator representing Wyoming, recently shared updates on social media regarding border security legislation, local sports events, and a community gathering in support of individuals with Down Syndrome.
On September 6, 2025, Barrasso addressed immigration policy in a post stating, “This message is now clear around the world: ‘Do not come here illegally.’ The One Big Beautiful bill built upon President @realDonaldTrump’s progress. We are finishing the wall, hiring more Border Patrol agents, and investing in @ICEgov.” The senator referenced ongoing efforts to enhance border security infrastructure and personnel as part of legislative measures following initiatives from the previous administration.
Later that day, Barrasso highlighted a local sports achievement by congratulating the University of Wyoming football team after their recent game. He wrote on September 6, 2025: “.@Wyo_Football welcomed fans to the recently renovated War Memorial Stadium with an overwhelming win! From the weather to the final score, it was a perfect day to be a Cowboys fan!”
On September 7, 2025, Barrasso posted about a community event focused on inclusion for people with Down Syndrome. He stated: “The 25th annual Wyoming Buddy Walk brought together families from across the state to celebrate our friends and family members with Down Syndrome. Bob Sell and his team do a great job every year, providing games and lunch for over 500 people in Laramie.” The event has become an annual tradition aimed at fostering awareness and support for individuals with Down Syndrome within Wyoming.
Senator Barrasso has been active in both national policy discussions and local community activities throughout his tenure in office.
