Sen. John Barrasso, U.S. Senator for Wyoming, shared a series of posts on August 16 and 17, 2025, highlighting his participation in local community events and celebrations across the state.
On August 16, Barrasso attended a regional gathering, stating: “What a great day to attend the River Festival and Shrimp Boil in Green River. The Green River Chamber and volunteers do a wonderful job every year making this such a fun event.” Later that day, he commented on another major occasion in Wyoming: “The @WYStateFair parade showcases the best of Wyoming and the outstanding accomplishments of 4-H and FFA students. The floats from across the state told of the rich heritage, natural beauty, and artistic spirit that make Wyoming truly exceptional.”
Continuing his engagement with community organizations, Barrasso noted activities following the parade on August 17: “The Douglas Boys and Girls Club hosted a post-parade cool down with tours of the club and the opportunity to connect with Wyoming’s representative for STEM Next Foundation’s Flight Crew, Ellie.”
Senator Barrasso has been an active participant in local events throughout his tenure. His recent posts underscore ongoing support for youth programs such as 4-H, FFA (Future Farmers of America), and STEM initiatives—organizations that have long played significant roles in fostering educational development and civic engagement among young people in Wyoming.
