Sen. John Barrasso, a Republican senator from Wyoming, used his Twitter account on July 23 and 24, 2025, to address issues related to national policy, border security, and international trade.

On July 23, Barrasso promoted legislative efforts with the message: “The policies of the One Big Beautiful Bill will save lives here in America. These policies will make our nation safer.”

Later that day, he criticized Democratic immigration policies while expressing support for measures aimed at preventing child trafficking. He wrote: “Hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied migrant children were lost under Democrats’ open-border policies. @SenateGOP’s One Big Beautiful Bill will help fight back against child trafficking in our country. Thank you @ChuckGrassley for your leadership on this issue.” The tweet referenced concerns about missing unaccompanied minors and highlighted bipartisan legislative responses to address child trafficking at the U.S. border.

On July 24, Barrasso commented on developments in U.S.-Australia beef trade relations. He stated: “This is a tremendous day for American ranchers who’ve been blocked from selling our beef to Australia. After repeatedly sounding the alarm on this unfair trade barrier, I’m pleased our strong ally Australia worked closely with the Trump administration to right this wrong.” This comes after ongoing discussions between the two countries over market access for American beef exports.

Barrasso has served as Wyoming’s senior U.S. Senator since 2007 and is known for his positions on border security and agricultural trade policy.
