Senator John Barrasso, representing Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, posted a series of updates on social media highlighting ongoing political and community activities in late September 2025.

On September 26, Barrasso addressed the status of government funding negotiations. He stated, “Republicans’ clean continuing resolution is ready to go. It’s bipartisan. There is only one person standing in the way of keeping the government open. That person is Senator Schumer.”

The following afternoon, Barrasso shared details from a visit with the Wyoming Municipal Power Agency (WMPA) team in Lusk. In his post dated September 27, he wrote, “Had the privilege of visiting with the Wyoming Municipal Power Agency team in Lusk this afternoon. WMPA prioritizes the stewardship of Wyoming’s natural resources while providing affordable and reliable electric power to the eight communities it represents.”

Later that day, Barrasso commented on local governance efforts after attending a statewide meeting: “The Wyoming Association of County Officers held their annual conference in Rock Springs. It was great to see county officers work collaboratively and share information with a focus on promoting the wellbeing of the great state of Wyoming.”

Barrasso has served as a U.S. Senator since 2007 and has consistently engaged with local agencies and stakeholders across Wyoming. The continuing resolution referenced in his posts refers to congressional measures used to fund government operations temporarily and avoid shutdowns when annual appropriations have not been enacted by the start of the fiscal year.
