Sen. John Barrasso, U.S. Senator representing Wyoming, posted a series of updates on September 24, 2025, covering topics from government funding debates to local community visits and educational achievements.

In a post addressing ongoing negotiations over government funding, Barrasso wrote on September 24: “We can keep the government open without hostage taking and without Schumer’s Shakedown. Democrats need to tear up their $1 trillion ransom note. There’s a bipartisan, clean CR ready to go.”

Later that day, Barrasso shared his experience visiting a local business in Wyoming: “The Shoshoni Fast Stop is a community and traveller favorite. I always enjoy visiting with folks over a cup of coffee or a favorite snack when I am in the area.” The Shoshoni Fast Stop serves as an important gathering place for both residents and travelers in the region.

Barrasso also congratulated Ralph Witters Elementary School for its recent recognition by the Wyoming Department of Education: “Congratulations to the students and faculty at Ralph Witters Elementary School on receiving @WyoEducation’s highest school performance rating, Exceeds Expectations, for the second year in a row. It was wonderful to visit with these outstanding students, teachers and staff today” Ralph Witters Elementary’s achievement highlights continued excellence in academic performance within Wyoming schools.

Barrasso’s statements reflect his ongoing engagement with both national legislative issues and local communities across Wyoming.
