Casper Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Run or walk through downtown Casper and along the picturesque North Platte riverfront of Casper with its green grassy parks, trees, and bronze fly fisherman statue. It’s the right way to celebrate your month of pride along side the Casper Pride festival where only in Casper is the call of the wild this easy to answer. Run or walk the 5K timed course, a fast, flat looping street and paved path route great for attempting a new PR (personal record or personal best). Whether you are running to win or doing a fun, leisurely run or walk, you are sure to enjoy Pride Run Casper. It’s the more fun running and walking event where everyone’s welcome. So, show your pride, and help support an excellent #IDEA – inclusion, diversity, equality, and acceptance for everyone. Make sure you plan to stick around to enjoy the Casper Pride Festival with a fun atmosphere, entertainment, exhibitors in the heart of Casper at David Street Station. As a participant, 21 years of age or older, your first beer is free. Sports strollers, running chairs, handcycles, sports wheelchairs, prostheses, walkers, and canes are allowed. Pride Run Casper does not allow pets on the course or at the Casper Pride festival for the safety of pets and participants.
