Prepare for Cyber Attacks – #BePrepared
0Comments

Town of Hanna recently issued the following announcement.

Cyber attacks are becoming increasingly common and putting many Albertans at risk. As part of your emergency preparedness routine, make it a habit to regularly update passwords, back up data and ensure security software is up to date.

Cybercriminals can pretend to be anyone you know. Learn the signs, and secure your accounts, your devices, and your connections. Don’t click on links and if you are not expecting to receive an attachment, don’t open it. More information can be found on the following Government of Canada webpage: Get Cyber Safe

This concludes Emergency Preparedness Week. We hope you have taken one tidbit of information that will help you #BePrepared for any disaster, emergency, or crisis that may affect you, where you live. Remember, even though Emergency Preparedness Week has ended for 2022, use this as a starting point for your own preparation. Then you can look back in 2023 to see how far you have come.
