Monthly Street Sweeping set to begin July 12

The Town of Dayton has purchased a street sweeper and will begin sweeping all streets on a regular basis.

Street sweeping will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, beginning July 12. Residents are asked to move their vehicles out of the street on these days so that the sweeper can get to the curb or edge of the road.

Did you know….street sweeping provides many benefits including: preventing debris, litter and chemicals from entering the storm drains and ultimately discharging into local streams, wetlands and rivers; beautifying the community; keeping storm drains clear to allow for proper stormwater drainage; and reducing the need for road maintenance.
