Casper Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Mixed Media Fiber Workshop for the Curious Dabbler with Beth Cleary April 23 & 30 from 9 to 12. Workshop fee:* Pay-a-little-less $50 Cost $75 Pay-a-little-more $100 An immersive two-day workshop on creating 2D and 3D mixed media fiber artworks. Learn about materials, surface design techniques and construction methods. Material will be provided for the student to produce a 9”x 12” 2-dimensional or a small 3-dimensional mixed media work, but the student is encouraged to bring fabric, fiber, or ephemera of their choice to include in the work. Class is limited to 12 spots; pre-registration is required. Beth Cleary is a mixed media artist residing in Rawlins, Wyoming. With degrees in chemistry and an M.F.A in sculpture from Houston Baptist University, she creates 2 and 3 dimensional art in fiber, glass, and found objects.
