She’s ba-ack! In April, Jill introduced us to Kickboxing and so many enjoyed the class that she is offering more! Kick 2023 into gear by learning how to kickbox.

3 Class Times Available

Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm starting Jan 12, 2023.Tuesdays from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm starting Jan 17, 2023.Tuesdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm starting Jan 17, 2023.Each 9-week session is $112.50 and held at Centennial Place.Register at the Town Office.

When asked, Jill says that this class is appropriate for beginners and that she will work at our pace! Let’s join Jill Olesen, a certified instructor through Fitness Kickboxing Canada as she shares her love of the sport.

Who is Jill?

Born and raised in Hanna, Jill Olesen and her husband Brent have a son and two daughters who live just outside of Hanna. She feels blessed to have been employed at the Hanna Dental Clinic for the past 24 years as well as involved with the Hanna Fire Department for 20 years.

Fitness has always been important to Jill and she is always training for the next physical challenge. She was introduced to Kickboxing a couple of years ago by a good friend and instructor. Jill was lucky enough to learn one-on-one and found she quickly fell in love with the sport. She took the instructor course through Fitness Kickboxing Canada with the goal of sharing the sport. It helps to build confidence and fitness with anyone interested.

When and Where?

Running for six weeks on Tuesdays starting May 3 and running May 10, 17, 24 (no class May 31) June 7 & 145:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Community Centre: 503 5 Ave West, Hanna

Who and How?

Anyone 16 yrs and older. Participants need to complete the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire that will be provided upon registration.

Register at the Town Office. The fee, payable in advance is $75 for the 6-week session.

What is Needed?

Limited sets of equipment are available for both purchase and rent when you register for the class. You may already have some equipment. You will need kickboxing equipment including gloves, blockers, and hand wraps. You will also need your yoga mat, water, and comfortable clothes.
