Jay and Michelle: Unofficial Poop Fairy

Jay and Michelle: Unofficial Poop Fairy
0Comments

Town staff have taken the advice of Otis and have been watching carefully for local Poop Fairies. Guess what! There are real humans with magical powers dealing with crappy situations. We want to recognize some of these fairies for going way above the call of doodie (see what we did there)?

This week we feature Jay, Michelle, Jari and Smitty. Otis and his friends are happy.

We recognize and thank you!

The (Bad) Bacteria

One gram of dog waste can contain as many as 23 million fecal coliform bacteria. Read that again. Waste can seep into groundwater and spread salmonella and giardia posing a hazard to pets, family, and the landscape.

Join the Club

These weekly reminders are intended to recognize a few of the loyal citizens who have been diligent in picking up after their pets throughout the year. Join the club! You do not have to be a pet owner. There are lots of parks and green spaces that could use a spring cleanup. If you’d like, pop into the Town Office and request a free waste bag container (while supplies last) that you can clip onto your bag or jacket. That way, you have one handy when you come across some leftover poop.
