The senator highlighted the importance of market structure legislation and expressed her support for initiatives that aim to enhance the regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States.

On June 17, 2025, Senator Lummis tweeted about the GENIUS Act, emphasizing that its success “hinges on comprehensive market structure legislation that protects consumers, establishes transparency, and creates clearly defined trading regulations.” She urged Congress to act swiftly in this regard.

The following day, on June 18, she continued her advocacy for digital asset companies by stating that recent developments bring the U.S. “one step closer to becoming a welcoming home for digital asset companies.” She encouraged the passage of market structure legislation to fulfill President Biden’s vision of establishing the country as “the crypto capital of the world” (source).

Later on June 18, Senator Lummis shared another tweet simply stating “Promises made, promises kept.” This statement further underscores her commitment to delivering on pledges related to financial regulation and cryptocurrency.

The GENIUS Act mentioned by Senator Lummis is a proposed piece of legislation aimed at addressing market structures in financial trading. It seeks to enhance consumer protection and transparency while clearly defining trading rules.
