Are You Feeling Generous?

Are you able to donate this Christmas? We have opportunities for you!Whether you can provide cash or gifts, there are options to both give and receive.

Cash donations? KidSport Hanna or the Hanna Community Youth Fund relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations. If you are looking to help financially disadvantaged youth, look no further than these organizations. Donations can be made at the Town Office for both programs which provide support directly to the local organization to cover registration fees for sport, music, dance, youth programs, etc. Parents and guardians can apply to access these funds when they are facing difficult times.

Applications and additional information for KidSport or the Community Youth Fund can be found online at hanna.ca/giving-receiving.

Gift donations? The Hanna Firefighters Association, in partnership with the Hanna Food Bank, collects Christmas gifts for children during the annual toy drive. Unwrapped gifts, cash, and gift cards can be donated for babies, toddlers, youth, and teens. The Association will use the cash to buy gifts for those youth and teen hard-to-buy-for age groups or fill gaps.

The following collection sites are ready to accept your donations until Fri Dec 16: Town Office, Warwick’s Home Hardware, Pharmasave Harvest Sky, Freson Bros. and Fresh Market.

Members of the Firefighters Association collect, sort, wrap and deliver the gifts to the Hanna Food Bank for distribution with the annual Christmas hampers.

If you require a food hamper and gifts for your children, you must go to the Food Bank on Wednesdays between 1:00 pm -2:00 pm in the Provincial Building and request a Christmas Hamper. Please help spread the word.
